This policy explains what BuyRate collects and how we use it. We keep it minimal on purpose: we collect what we need to broker your deal, and nothing we’d be uncomfortable explaining to you.
What we collect
- Contact & conversation. Your WhatsApp phone number, name, and the messages you send us about the car you want.
- Deal details. Vehicle preferences, budget, location, timeline, and incentives you may qualify for.
- Payment. Your broker-fee payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe handles card data directly.
How we use it
- To search inventory, negotiate with dealers, and lock your price.
- To coordinate your appointment and keep you updated in the same chat.
- To process your fee and any refund, and to meet legal and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
- The dealer for the car you lock — only what’s needed to hold the deal and book your appointment.
- Service providers who run the plumbing: Meta (WhatsApp) for messaging and Stripe for payments.
- We do not sell your personal information and we don’t share it for third-party advertising.
Retention & your choices
We keep deal records as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymize them. You can ask us to access or delete your information at any time — just message us on WhatsApp. Standard WhatsApp message rates and Meta’s own privacy terms apply to the chat itself.
Security & contact
Payments run on Stripe’s PCI-compliant infrastructure, and we limit internal access to deal data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect what you share. Questions or requests? Reach us on WhatsApp.
